MY STORIES
That means I've been writing for about 11 years now..ahhhh,I didn't realised I was THAT old!
My very first story wasn't actually a story.
It was a screenplay my friend and I would read and act to during playdates.
It featured two friends in their 20s: one of them was a lawyer and the other was a medical student.
Guess what my lines were?
Yes. Very original I have to say. But hey..being a doctor has been my dream since I was like 5!
I had a lot of fun writing that.
Fast forward to about a year later.
My friend and I became borderline obsessed with Avril Lavigne and Hilary Duff(who I knew already from my childhood favourite tv show,thanks to which I learned English, Lizzie McGuire)... my room walls,door and wardrobe were COVERED with song lyrics and posters of them.
One evening I thought I would write a fan fiction featuring them as a hobby.
So I started writing and writing.
I wrote for a few months and then one afternoon I decided to add a new character to the story.
Someone I had made up.
And that's how the protagonist of my stories was born.
I loved writing about her so much that at some point..when I was 14, I stopped writing fan fiction and wrote a story with her as the protagonist.
I started making up other characters and adding more and more details to the figure of my protagonist.
I made it so she was everything I wanted to be when I was older.
Then ,at 15,I ditched the 3rd person and started writing in 1st person,using multiple points of view.
And I never stopped.
I added characters,changed locations,made my protagonist more realistic,changed language I wrote in(at 17)..updated my sources of information to something more accurate.
But I never stopped.
And I don't plan on stopping. Ever.
Writing is more than just a hobby to me. It's so much more.
It's a coping mechanism.
It's my happy place.
It's how I deal with the sh*t that life throws at me.
Writing and my characters are a big part of me..just like my passion for medicine,food or languages.
So..since this blog features my life...they deserve their little corner as well.
This page is their little corner.
When you click on a link I'll put on this page..the blog won't be about my life anymore.
It'll be about theirs.
Down below,I will put the links to the little bits and pieces of my writing I've already published on here.
Oh and..I write in first person.
Most of the time I write from my protagonist's (Elizabeth) POV but sometimes I switch things up and write from the POV of other characters.
When I'm using a POV different from Liz's..I will write the name of the character who's talking on top of the page.
That being said..I hope you're gonna love my characters as much as I do and that I'll be able to share more scenes in the future.
